Currently the Fred Astaire Dance Studio International, Inc. has
franchised schools in Australia and South Africa. These operations are on a licensed
or franchised basis, receiving business and educational support from the United
States. The mission of Fred Astaire Dance International is to expand and create a
structure of licensed and joint ventured agreements in the major markets of the world.
Currently, there are active discussions and franchising negotiations occuring in Japan,
Greece, Asia, and Continental Europe.
The President and Chief Executive Officer of the company is
Mr. Vincent Bulger. As one of the world's most prominent experts in Ballroom Dance,
Mr. Bulger is the ideal candidate to maximize the company's potential through his 40 years
of expertise and knowledge. As chairman of judges, world adjudicator, and currently
executive Vice President of the World Dance Sport Council, Mr. Bulger is in the unique
position to facilitate extensive world wide contacts for the growth of the company.
Fred Astaire remains the finest and most enduring name in the social
and competive ballroom industry. For the past 40 years the dance business has remained
recession resistant and, with the advent as an upcoming Olympic event, management feels
that this industry will undergo enormous expansion. Since the company also owns the rights
to provide instruction, under the Fred Astaire name, of other forms of dance, such as,
Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary Dance, and Country Western, the growth of Fred Astaire
Dance International will not be limited solely to ballroom dancing.
